Expanding full NAS logical volume didn't expand the file system onto it.

Symptom:

I've been running out-of-space on the NAS logical volume, but even after expanding I get "no space left on the device".

Problem:

This seems to be a related to XFS file system used on the NAS logical volume. The XFS to be able to perform expand action needs to have some free space (about 20MB).

Solution:

You need to free up some space by moving some data from the NAS logical volume to your desktop. Then you need to expand the NAS logical volume at least with smaller possible size (32MB). After that the FS will be expanded and you will be able to move/copy your data to the NAS logical volume.

Open-E software impacted:

NAS-R3, DSS V5, DSS V6
