While performing backup with BackUp Exec 2013 open files are skipped.

Solution:

In order to backup open files you can disable file locking, but it is not recommended, because files with corrupted or inconsistent data can be backed up.

- CONFIGURATION -> NAS resources -> Shares -> Share_name -> SMB settings (in advanced)

-          Safer solution is to create a snapshot, share with a path specified to the snapshot and then backup this share. Snapshot can be schedule before running BackUp Exec.

Unfortunately we did not test that solution in long term usage.
