Problem:

After update to DSS V6 build 4786 to build 5087with a Xen Citrix Server or VMware ESXi Servers the iSCSI Targets are not recognized by IET standard.

Solution:

1. Power off the guest and/or Virtual Machines (Virtual Machine located on Open-E DSS IET iSCSI Target) and detach Open-E DSS IET iSCSI Target storage from Xen and/or Vmware Server.

2. Update and reboot the Open-E DSS V6 build 5087, then switch the iSCSI solution from SCST to IET (access the console, enter hot-key: ctrl-alt-w - > Tuning Options - > iSCSI daemon options - > iSCSI solution and reboot the system).

3. Reboot the Xen Citrix or VMware Servers.

4. Reatach the Open-E DSS IET iSCSI Target storage (remeber to choose proper IP from Target IQN field).

5. Now your Xen Citrix or VMware is ready to work.
