What to do when one of the servers involved in volume replication needs to change its IP?

Example application:

There are two SANs using replication; one of them needs to be moved to a different location so that it synchronizes over the WAN, which means its IP will change.

Solution:

Stop your replication task by clicking on the stop button in CONFIGURATION -> Volume manager -> Vol. replication -> Replication task manager.

Disconnect from your ISCSI initiator.

Change the IP address for the server in question in SETUP -> Network -> Interfaces ->  IP address.

On the other server, change the mirror server IP in CONFIGURATION -> Volume manager -> Vol. replication -> Mirror server IP.

Restart your replication task.

Restart your ISCSI initiator, go to Discovery and remove the old portal.

Create a new portal and then connect.
