Problem:
DSS V7 WebGUI access/certificate problems.
Symptoms:
If you are using older versions of DSS V7, up12 for example, please follow this procedure to re-generate certificate and upgrade the node to up65
Solution:
Please follow the steps listed below:
- Go to CLI console and press: CTRL+ALT+T > 4. Time configuration
- Change the date to December 2017 and "Apply". After that, agree to certificate regeneration.
- Restart the System.
- Upgrade to the latest version available at https://www.open-e.com/download/open-e-data-storage-software-v7/ via: DSS WebGUI > Maintenance > Software update > Browse > Apply:
- Reboot the node. Change date back to the current.
Symptoms:
If you are using older versions of DSS V7 (up12, up16 for example) and you cannot update system to the latest version (for any reasons)
Solution:
Please follow the steps listed below::
- Go to CLI console and press: CTRL+ALT+T > 4. Time configuration
- Change the date to December 2017 and "Apply". After that, agree to certificate regeneration.
- Restart the System.
- Install the small update: ftp://software:UuPpDdAaTtEe@ftp.open-e.com/In_Engineering_Phase/70662-DSS-V7_openssl_cert_old_builds/upd_70662-DSS-V7.upd
- Reboot the node. Change the date back to the current and reboot for the last time.
If you are using DSS V7 version up60 or up65 and you are experiencing a certificate issue, install the small update from the attachment and reboot system.
