iSCSI target tuning settings in JovianDSS and DSS V7

Article ID: 3061
Last updated: 31 Jan, 2019

Suggested values for iSCSI target tuning settings.

Those values are in the JovianDSS and DSS V7 (since version up56) target configuration by default.
The same values must be configured on the initiator side.
Connection to the target after changing those values must be reinitiated so the changes will take effect.

QueuedCommands=8
DataDigest=None
MaxOutstandingR2T=32
InitialR2T=No
FirstBurstLength=65536
MaxRecvDataSegmentLength=1048576
HeaderDigest=None
MaxXmitDataSegmentLength=1048576
ImmediateData=Yes
MaxBurstLength=1048576

Notes:
- Not all of the above settings are available on the initiator side (Vmware or Hyper-V). In such cases change only those which are available.
- If you have created targets in DSS V7 before up56 version you will need to correct those settings on the DSS V7 side also. To do it go to the console: CTRL+ALT+T > 0. Tuning options > 4. iSCSI daemon options > 1. Target options
