Why I cannot log-in to Veritas BE 10b agent?

Problem:
The customer cannot log-in to his VERITAS BE 10b agent on the NAS server to backup the data.
Symptom:
The NAS release is 4.30_2824.

Solution:
The customer installed SP4 on his machine and he was able to log-in and backup the data with the used special characters (German letters).
