Problem:
DSS V7 recognize single CPU Core only
Symptoms:
- smpboot: weird, boot CPU (#0) not listed by the BIOS message in the kernel-sys.log
- multicore CPU visible as one core CPU in the log file: tests.log
Solution:
Enter DSS V7 console
- Disable (check) IO-APIC in the DSS V7 console: CRTL+ ALT+T ->Boot Option-> Boot Parameters
- Disable X2-APIC on the mainboard
- Leave ACPI enabled
